Another day on the battlefield. This has been one of those weeks where I am having to make command decisions on an hourly basis. Where's the battlefield commission and the money to go with it? LOL! At least it's keeping my mind off of food, or so it seems. I don't think I've had 3 or 4 consecutive days with only 60 to 70% of my RDI, since, well . . . since I can't remember when. keeping busy does make the time go by fast; but then again, how fast do I want the time to go by at my age?!
DW cut half of her steak off last night; seems her appetite has been dwindling for a while now. There's good and bad in that. She drinks way too much non-diet soda in the course of a day, but then, I'm not going to rag on her about that, while she's going through all this crap. I brought that half of her steak in my lunch today, warmed it up and slapped it in between 2 slices of bread for lunch, and it was soooo good!
Since I stayed pretty late last night to make up for my time commuting to and from, and living in the dentist's chair, I didn't get home with enough daylight to work on the fire pit. I'll get to it sometime in the near future. It's mostly for cosmetic purposes anyway, since I'd throw some logs on that spot in the yard, and have a fire anytime I wanted to anyway. I just like to build things. LOL!
Well, I need to get back to work; lunch is about over, and I'm sure I can find some more fires to put out. I'll see if DW wants to go out for dinner tomorrow night. Then I can spend the weekend getting some things done.
Well, Friends, keep your chin up (all of them), you and I both know you can do this. If it seems like a real struggle, and you feel like you're losing the battle, lighten up. It's the struggling that keeps your mind on the food. Don't expect miracles overnight, and don't lose hope when you fail. Sometimes it's the ups and downs that confuse your metabolism and end up being just what you needed to succeed. This isn't an exact science. Most of us get that "what's the use" mentality when it doesn't come off as fast as we would like it to. I just recently went past my 1 year anniversary on FS. You know, I lost 40 lbs, and gained back 20 pounds. But, when it was all said and done, I lost 20 pounds! I could dwell on the 20 pounds I gained back (and for what?), or I can celebrate the 20 I lost. Which do you think is going to be more motivating? Well, duh! Oh yeah, I said I was getting off of here. C ya!
