I had one of the worst workout performances, with virtually no clue as to why. Hummm, I guess I'm running up against the clock and age is winning.

Some days are like that. Tomorrow or even the next day will be better.

Whatever your age you are still keeping to an admirable workout regimen that other people can only dream about completing. Keep a thankful heart and spirit and the next workout will be better.

Thank you scalewatcher, but I'm very competitive, even with myself. I don't like the prospect of losing an inch, but the inevitable is coming, just hope it's not arrived.

Oh, the melodrama. Please, your six years younger than me and I have an autoimmune disease that impacts my balance. I am still going strong. You are going to keep going with your competitive nature. Here's another example, my husband plays softball with a man in his 80s. The octogenarian still runs better than most of the guys in the league. The league is composed of those 55 and over.

You're welcome. I remember in a post, a long time ago, that you mentioned you liked to compete with yourself. No one wants to give up any of their own hard earned progress, that's why we keep hitting the weights. However, you know what you're capable of doing without getting hurt. How do you feel about using that as a guide? (That's what I'm doing.)

Did you eat differently today or the day prior? I know my performance hinges on what/ how I eat before. How was your recovery after your previous workout?

Erquiaga, melodrama? Ah, you know my mind, heart, and intent upon this post. Uncalled for.

My apologies, adamevegod1. I just believe you are in no way close to being done with great workouts. Everyone has bad days even elite athletes. Ever watch the Tour de France? One day a rider will be great, the next, total bonk (in cycling the word bonk means to totally physically breakdown.)

I have them, we all do. Like Erquiaga said, you still have plenty of fight in you!
