Good morning!
It's Friday - and it doesn't start exactly as I would like it, but pretty much as I expected.
I'm up in weight, significantly, since yesterday. Yesterday, I dropped a whopping 3 lbs, and today two of those are back. Of course this is all water, and I'm not too concerned about it. Oh, and also - I had two reasonably large meals yesterday, something I don't do too often any more. They were fine on calories - I came out of yesterday with almost 300 calories available in my RDI - but they clearly weigh me down.
Just like my normal Saturday Morning weigh-ins, I do believe that the "remarkable" new lows are severely affected by water flushing out every time - of course hopefully with a fat loss too.
The point is that I do register every new low as a new low, and I take it on my pride. I couldn't reach 87.7 kilos by flushing out water when I weighed 150 kilos. Or when I weight 100. Or probably even 90. So there. It's all good.
Yesterday I was 87.7 kilos. Today I am 88.8. Hey, I'm still below 90 kilos, and that is awesome. Besides I still have tonight to get to a new low. LOL.
About that: Tonight, we're gonna go celebrate Daughter's birthday. This affects my weight loss in two ways:
1. No band practice. When I practice with The Black Peanut on Friday nights, I always have a massive weight drop the next morning. I don't get that option this week.
2. Sushi. Daughter loves sushi, so we're gonna take her and a few friends out for sushi at a "running sushi" place, which is essentially a buffet. The food is great, but also kind of a nemesis. I love sushi, and I LOVE the soy sauce!
Of course, the soy is full of sodium, our worst enemy when it comes to water retention.
Now, I am still keen on a new low tomorrow, whether it's realistic or not. So my game plan for today is simply to have super light meals with a lot of protein up until dinner.
I will consider this kind of a low cal day, but with an eye on filling foods and with the eye on the fact that I'll be at the gym this morning too.
So, essentially, I had 2 eggs for breakfast. Lunch? 2 eggs. lol. Yeah, that's all. It's enough though, and it will be worth it when it gets to sushi time.
I will simply go for the lighter sushis, the ones that don't look too bad for me, then I will weigh the pieces and go with those numbers when I enter them in my calorie counter as "generic sushi". I think that is the best I can do.
I might have a little soy sauce, but it will be strictly limited. Sushi just isn't the same without it, is it? :) Anyways, limited amounts of sushi equals limitied amount of soy.
Let's see where this takes me.
I am of course perfectly aware that I might NOT see a new low tomorrow. However, it doesn't mean that I shouldn't try. Besides, I have already seen a VERY NICE new low this week - yesterday. In my mind, the goal for the week is already reached. But it doesn't mean I can't try to reach it again, right?
...
I really liked reading the comment section under my journal yesterday. I love when something I babble for myself actually gets others to ponder on their own weight loss journey.
This is the way I have learned so much. By babbling to myself, and by reading journals and blogs and anything else I can get my hands on. Educate myself on the things that I clearly didn't know. Had I known them, I would never have weighed 155 kilos.
I really appreciate when you guys take the time to put a note for me.
I try hard to get to read and comment on my buddies' journals. I don't always make it to write - but rest assured that I read everything I can get to. I love following the ups and downs, and I love learning from you guys.
So often, I see that we are all in the same place. It seems that we struggle at the same times, we're on a roll at the same times. It's strange.
Anyways, it's time to get ready for gym. And work. And sushi. lol.
Today, I'm thankful for: - FRIDAY! - A non scary day out with full focus on my weight loss journey. I can do this! - Morning coffee!
Happy Friday to all! Life is good!
