I found this by Steph Gaudreau. We can do this.
You were put on this earth to do something bigger than whittle your body down, down, down into a perfect but fleeting shape, like a woodcarver working, working, working with head bowed to the world. Put another way, the most important thing you have to offer this plane of existence is not a perfect body. In fact, it's the LEAST important thing you have to offer. And when I say "do something bigger", I don’t mean everyone will become a president or an elite athlete or the leader of a global non-profit. Not everything bigger you can have to offer is an occupation, by the way. Watch out for that productivity = self-worth pitfall. But what I do mean is your ability to... • live more fully • laugh more loudly • stand up for what’s important to you more fervently • love more openly • dance more ridiculously • feel more deeply • nurture yourself more freely, and • use your gifts more courageously. In a world where hating yourself and your body is expected, keeping yourself engaged with these bigger things, doing the things that nourish your body, mind, and spirit because you want to thrive is seen as counterculture at best, insane at worst. You are inherently, innately powerful. You are here for more, to live into your life more fully, to expand and push into the edges.
