A great and glorious Monday to all my FS Warrior Friends! It rained all weekend with just a small window of sunshine Saturday afternoon. Sunday, after church, I DH out to celebrate (early) our 31st wedding anniversary and her birthday (I gave her me on her birthday 31 years ago). We toured the jewelry stores in the mall, and the gypsy was interested in the colored blue diamonds. So, yep, another ring and earrings. She went wild over these. I haven't seen her this excited since I built her the wooden clothes rack.
I decided to fast this week to give my weight loss a shot in the arm. We'll see how it goes. I usually have much more success just taking a sabbatical from eating than I do just trying to cut back. The pizza and lackadaisical attitude cost me $20 last week. Besides, last night we went to Red Lobster for dinner. Lobster with melted butter is the only thing on this earth that could get me to give up steak. It was good! Although I did not eat all the shrimp linguini that went with it, there was no way that I was leaving any of the lobster behind - diet or no diet.
I haven't gotten to work on the truck yet, but I have been building up my resource library, and adding a few tools for body working - which is one of those skills that I haven't exactly perfected yet. But, I am one of those people that teaches themselves by hitting the books and the internet, I am sure that I am up to the challenge. I may destroy a lot of sheet metal in the process, but I will adapt, improvise and overcome. I've been accumulating some points with DW by getting some things done around the house, so I'm pretty sure I'll be able to commence working on the truck pretty soon.
Here's wishing everyone a great and glorious day Toodles.
