So what happened 31st and 1st? Well, good news--avoided the halloween candy and all things bad on Friday...stayed focused but had so almonds realllllyy late night, early morning (but that should technically count as breakfast, right?). Also, there was a luncheon at work and I did good by skipping dessert, and had my ceaser salad (inc a few croutons), and the entree was carby too, with a stuffed butternut squash stuffed with rice and cheese etc.--I had only a quarter of it, and stopped eating then...Even on that, I felt pretty bloated. Later that day, was starving so snacked on a peanut bag from a vending machine. This was a conscious decision. HIgh on fats, but low on carbs. Dinner was very light that day..a bean curd stir fry. I think I skipped working out that day?
Well, I DEFINITELY missed working out yesterday! I was running around doing various errands, and then shopping and then geting ready for a party. The party was a Fall harvest potluck and had lots of decadent foods! I decided to indulge. I had an amazing concoction of seweet vermouth and wine cider, a couple of pieces of irrestibly soft homemade challah bread, salad with dressing, a bowl of butternut squash soup, a large serving of a moroccon stew with veggies and chick peas, and a side of mashed butternut squash. Oh!! and Godiva coffee and TWO pieces of pie! (hard to choose from the beutifully latice-shaped cheery pie, or the soft, melt in your mouth pumpkin one!!!). No working out either! Ok, so generally quite bad!!!! No worries. Tomorrow is another day!
Which brings me to today (Sunday, Nov. 2nd). Good day diet and workout-wise. Meals: 1 coffee with cream 1 atkins bar late afternoon (5 pts, 2 carbs) almonds 8 (1.5 pts, 2 carbs) big salad with veggie patty (11 carbs; 2 pts) and ff feta (1 pt) a side of enoki mushrooms sauteed in chilli garlic sauce (delish!) (1 pt, 11 carbs or so?? the mushrooms have 10 carbs!!! Wow!)
