when I first adopted Hogan, his adoption name was Bolt. As in run away as fast as you can without looking back. Now, that's a great idea. Name got changed immediately. When I got his original puppy paperwork, it listed his name as Gino. Three names in ten months. Poor dude.

Katsolo, you never mentioned how he got Hogan for a name. I love it!
My dogs have always been big like yours. Somehow we rescued a Chihuahua Mix, he was so intelligent I was amazed. Yet, he was too low to get on furniture or jump into the car, so we kept calling him too low, he responded, so that’s how he got his embarrassing name of Toolow. 😕
Not sure how that happened?! Brother!😊

It takes a village. I used to frequent the dog park and when I got my big guy he was a hot mess. I hated his name, but I also knew the big lunk would have a tougher life if I gave him an aggressive name like spike, killer, danger or psycho. I also knew I didn't want a long German name because it's too hard to yell across a field. A group of us got together and tossed names out there and Hogan was the one that stuck.
