Good Evening, FS Warriors! I am beat! Went over and joined the group working over the grounds at the church tonight. Went over with the trailer and the 2-wheeled weed wacker. There's 3 big old trees that they've been piling brush, logs, rocks and whatever around for years. I started pulling the stuff out by hand and thought, "This is going to take me forever, and forever, I ain't got. So, I went home and got the Tractor/Loader/Backhoe and went to kicking a$$ on that crap. Turned an 8 hour job into 1 hour. HooRah! Glad I did too because the more crap I pulled out of there, the more I realized that there were mounds of dirt and roots and evertything else in there. Made short work of it, and even knocked down some dead trunks that stood about 10 ft high. Would have been a helluva job by hand. I didn't want to wear myself so thin that I came down with something prior to the race on Saturday either.
DW had already made spaghetti sauce. She whipped up the pasta after we got home. Now it was my turn to be orgasmic. Oh, was that spaghetti good! Spaghetti is my nemesis, of course along with pizza, lasagna, manicotti, steak, lobster, shrimp. . . Oh wait, food is my nemesis! Had a glass of merlot and a glass of cabernet savignon. Couldn't make up my mind which to have, so I did what any red-blooded male would do - I had both. I did have them back to back though, and not simultaneously. I'm not a heathen, you know. :D
Well, can't sacrifice my beauty sleep. Got to run in the morning. I have told myself that if I'm going to play the fiddle, I'm going to have to dance to the music. No matter how mellow a couple glasses of wine make me, I'm still getting up early and running. I'm drinking a glass of unsweetened iced tea to help prevent dehydration before going to bed. I'll probably be doing the Tenessee waltz half the night going back and forth to the bathroom. Maybe not, either way, I deserve it if I do, drinking so much just before bed. Oh well, at least all the plumbing stil works; just flushing out the tubes. 2 days and counting till vacation. I don't know why I'm so excited, I work harder on vacation than at work; I guess it's just the fact that I'm doing it when I want to do it, and I am my only critic. Well, enough rambling for now.
