Saturday evening indulgence:
- Poached cod à la Lyonnaise (butter-sautéed potatoes and slow-cooked onions with crème fraîche sauce). (750 kcal)
- Salad with cherry tomatoes in hummus vinaigrette (not pictured).
- First attempt at a real crème brûlée (not the milky, watery copy found everywhere). A bit overcooked IMO, but received as the best ever by guests (530 kcal, servings could be smaller, I only ate 2/3 of mine).
I served champagne with the whole meal.
+ 1 lb this morning, worth an occasional good feast and guest satisfaction. Forgot to say, most of the calories come from fat, but that should be obvious.
