Day 33 of eating a Ketogenic Diet, and I'm getting the hang of it. The Atkins bars are nice if I really need something sweet. They have their version of M&M's with peanuts, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Payday Bars, three of my all time favorites, all with 2-3g net carbs each.
I have maybe one every 10 days because I'm so trained away from sweets, I don't really miss or want that anymore, but it's nice to know it's there. Plus, for days when I need a few extra calories, it's a quick way to grab something on the go.
Scale showed 193 before dinner last night - wow! 194 this morning, though, so that's what I'm recording.
Blood sugar was 98 this morning, so I'm finally getting some relief from those high numbers as the Metformin may be starting to kick in after being on it one week. I thought it would be like an aspirin and work right away, but it's one of those drugs that needs to accumulate in your system.
