Well, today is the first full day of being back. Went through a few months of self pity, got surgery on my eyes and seeing almost 20/20. No more heavy glasses and can drive at night! Stopped drinking wine, totally, hey who needs the xtra calories. Got the scale reved up and using it religiously, it's the only way for me to control portion size, no guessing allowed. Snacks are kept to a minimum and are healthy, no junk food. I will get back within 3 months (that's my goal). I'm sure just removing wine from my diet is going to be a big step up in the right direction.
