Up at 4:30 this morning and running with Jillian. Down only 1.5 lbs. since last weigh-in almost two weeks ago. But hey, I'll take it. I was not a good boy over the holidays. With the exception of the 5K race last weekend, I pretty much threw off the restraints, and went with the spirit of the season (not that I recommend that necessarily, but I'm a sucker for extravagance rewarded by pain). I am one of the 1% of Americans who enjoy fruitcake; and I ate one. I also received a box of chocolate covered blueberries for Christmas. it's usually chocolate covered cherries; so curiosity got the best of me, and if it hadn't been for my daughter eating a couple of them, I could lay claim to eating the whole box. And then there was the spice drops, the shortbread cookies, the nuts, and the cinnamon roles at my Granddaughter's house on Christmas morning. Need I go on? I came, I saw, I ate, I overindulged, and I enjoyed it - knowing that all good things have to come to an end, and they did. I got back on track, and have returned to some semblance of discipline and normalcy.
