it's difficult to not eat poorly when my husband is gone because i see all the food in the fridge and i'm afraid of it going bad so i feel like i need to eat it all as fast as possible so it doesn't go to waste... sigh. it's not even eating bad food, it's just eating tons of good foods which is bad in large amounts. oh well, it's something to work on.

I so do the same thing except it is just me. My portion control is the hardest part, especially because if I portion it out correctly I have to eat it for the next week so that it doesn't go bad.

you should try making soup with it! when i see stuff going bad i make soup like a hobo and i don't usually binge on that. and you can make stuff and freeze it.

Good idea! I have broth and I'm pretty sure I can figure something out to make the foods last longer. I made a salad and put it in tupperware to have for 3 lunches. That's a start. Haha. But I do the dumbest thing when I cook and I make so much food anticipating having left-overs just to find myself going back for seconds... I've started to shove the food right into tupperware as soon as I've made a plate so I'm not as tempted to go back for another serving. That's helping.
