It's day 2 after "Pizza and Chocolate Gate" day Sunday. I'm slowly coming down in weight, though it's slow. Stomach is hurting still from the damn pizza, and it's still beating me over the head for making bad choices.
I don't really feel bad about eating the pizza. Those calories were within my budget at the time I ate it. That's okay. I physically feel bad because the pizza makes me constipated and feel miserable. I need to learn this. Hopefully, I'll learn that it has to be quite a while before I do this again.
This morning, I was AMAZED! When Wife came out of the bed room and into the kitchen, it suddenly struck me how MUCH weight she lost! I just can't believe how awesome she looks. I am so proud of her.
It's strange how we sometimes don't really notice the little changes, and then one day BAM! it shows. Well, today is her BAM!-day. I am sure she's gonna get tons of compliments at work, and I gotta watch out for the "stray dogs" around there. She's a great gal, so beautiful.
Yesterday, I did what I could to make up for Sunday. I ate GREAT, stopped around 1200 calories, all good choices. I walked to our meeting with Daughter's counselor and we talked about a future as a graphic designer for Daughter. She's excited that she can get to do something like that, and Wife and I are fully supporting it. She has a talent, she needs to NOT be flipping burgers as a career. We just gotta set it all up right.
After the meeting, I went to the gym, got on the treadmill and watched a full movie! 80 minutes of power walking, with a one minute run every 6 minutes. I think that's pretty good. I went 7½ kilometers like this - I gotta say I impressed myself. Oh, and the movie was a blast too. A new Danish cartoon, and it was just a hoot. :)
Today is gonna be a busy day at work. I have a few "bonus" meetings I need to attend to. Also, I am hoping to find time to prepare a little to be on top of future issues, so I can better see them coming. It's all in the preparation, folks, just like in real life.
This morning, Tabby is entertaining me with so much good music. I'm listening to
181.fm, so much good music to be found, and it's all free! :) Wow, I sound like I'm selling the damn thing! LOL! Really, it is a great place to find online music. I listen (as my buddies know) a lot to classic rock, and there are several stations that have great play lists. Check out The Eagle, should you like. Be careful, you might get stuck there. I know, because I am stuck there.
Tonight is also the night where I go rock out with the kids. Only the bass player showed up last time - I think the rest of the kids had special projects at school, so they weren't there - but that was pretty cool as I got to teach him some more specific bass stuff. He's an eager learner, and it's hard to teach him the little things when there are 5 other kids that need attending to also. We're doing okay though.
Today I am thankful for
- losing a little bit of weight.
- feeling miserable - to teach me a lesson about pizza. Reminding me WHY it sucks! :)
- getting to rock out with the kids tonight.
- rock on the radio.
- seeing how awesome Wife looks, and seeing her smile when I pointed it out. She even wanted me to take a picture for her Facebook - something she doesn't normally do. I'm so proud!
Happy Tuesday in FS-land! Life is good!
