Initial State
Started diet and exercise on January 6 2012, my weight in started at 223lbs which is way higher than average. Started consuming 18u of Lantus twice a day, 7u of Regular twice a day and between 8 to 10u of Humalog per 3 meals a day. Also additional 4 to 5u of humalog for snacks through out the day.

Nutrition
Trying to stay within the following limits: Under 100g of carbs, at least 80g of protein, and under of 100g fat. Also trying to keep a -1500kcal balance a day. Set an RDI of 1500 calories.

Diabetes
By January 10th had to decrease Lantus from 18 to 16u, regular from 7 to 5u to avoid low glucose levels. By January 25 I reduced another unit of Lantus to 15u and will reduce regular within the next week to 4u twice a day. Since I started lower carb diet my Humalog intake has reduce by at least 50%. Currently doing 1u per 8g of carbs.

Typical Humalog Doses
Breakfast Down to about 3u during week days, 5 to 6u during weekends.
Lunch: Down to between 3 to 7u depending on carb intake.
Dinner: Down to 4 to 8u depending on carb intake.
Snacks: 1 to 3u depending on snack.

Exercise
Started in January with 1/2 hour a day of stationary bicycle to start tonin and increasing fit levels. Also started with 10 minute weight lifting with small weights. The plan is to switch to 15 minutes of elyptical step machine 3xweek, and continue stationary bycicle for 30 minutes a day.
