Somewhere during my 3 month absence I managed to make my first goal so I've now set a new goal of 200 lbs. I haven't been that low in 20 years. I have some extra motivation to get there though. Going to Maui in September 2020, I don't really care about wearing a swimsuit, I avoid those for reasons that have nothing to do with my weight. I want to be healthy enough to enjoy the hiking my brother and fiance are planning. I've spent some part of every vacation since I was 14 either in a wheelchair or sitting on a bench waiting for everyone else. No more.

Was tempted to take the dog out for a walk but I'm not allowed to leave the house by myself without supervision and my fiance works late tonight and my neighbor isn't home so Instead I pulled out my step and ran through my physical therapy routine while I was on the phone with a friend. Now I'm too tired to cook.

I'll take it. Actually managed to be up and about most of the day. Hooray for a med combo that seems to be working. My appetite is more stable, I'm back to healthy meals and snacks. Now I have to get back to logging my meals and start getting some exercise.
Happily I do feel more optimistic about my overall health than I have in a while. I owe this to the mental health program I just completed. I've suffered from anxiety since I was very young and depression for a few years now, I finally got into a treatment program. I met some wonderful people there who get how I feel and add so much to my support system. They encourage me and I encourage them, they text just to check in.
I just want to take a moment in case there's someone like me out there who needs to hear it. If you think you may need help, please get it. Don't put it off. Whether you're depressed, have anxiety, even of you have self esteem issues, there is help out there. You are not alone, you have value, you are amazing.

I'm not quite back yet but figured I'd update my weight. My last bout with heart issues left me dealing with some serious mental health issues. After spending a few weeks doing an all day outpatient program and doing some serious med management I am finally starting to feel better. Meds messed with my weight a bit, but it's not a big gain. I am eating (had an abscessed tooth in there too) as healthily as I can. Hopefully another week or 2 and I'll be up to being back and (knock on wood) maybe getting some exercise in.
