I know I only lost a lb. but I am just happy it is going down not up. Due to me always being sick and weak, I didnt think I could do this challange. But I am doing it with much difficulty. Hoping I can get thru the second week!

Taking up a relaxing and enjoyable hobby can be healthy. A relaxing pursuit outside of your normal occupation may help you live longer or recover better from illness. A recent study of people who had undergone surgery found that people who were involved in hobbies before their operation had better recovery six months later compared with people who did not have hobbies.

Today so far is not a good day for me! First I decided to go on the scale 2 days earlier and I gained another pound! I have been eating so good and exercising! Also on this diabetes diet and my yoyo for carbs for another disease,{need carbs for Porphyria, a hereditary blood disease) and one of my foods I love to eat that craves my sweet tooth and helps me stick to my diet by enjoying it soooo much is Oikos fat free vanilla greek yogurt... but sometimes it affects my sugar, like today! My sugar after eating it spiked to 289! Not good. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make the yucky plain yogurt taste like vanilla without the carbs? Also, I'm very scared. This just happened to me, my pancreas just decided to stop producing insulin after so many pancreatitis attacks since in my teens. It first affected the way I digest fats so my triglycerides are so high which in turn also causes pancreatitis attacks! And all this is from the Porphyria. Now they did tell me eventually it will give me diabetes but I didn't think this fast. I had it for almost a year without knowing it. My eyes are so bad now and my feet hurt and are numb on the toes. When I started putting 2 and 2 together last week, I tested my sugar and it was 592!! So now on my second type of meds and seem not working that good either. Any help on eating, suggestions, anything I would so appreciate. My primary doc gave me info and it says for meals I can have between 40 to 60 carbs and snacks 15 to 30 carbs. I see an endocrinologist on the 23rd. Thanks guys for all ur support ;)
