I am following the SB plan and in my 3rd week. I decided to continue phase 1 for another week to help get me going on the weight loss. Well what I find odd is that when I follow the SB book phase 1 meal plan, the "How does your diet compare to SB" on the FS site, shows my protein way higher than what the SB diet would be. This to me is very odd. Did anyone else experience this? I have a protein at every meal and whatever I have is a normal serving size. Just don't get it. I am obviously missing something....

Okay FS buddies, I need some encouragement to keep me going. I was very disappointed when I stepped on the scale this morning and I was only down 1.1 lbs since last Sunday. I really had my hopes up that it was going to be more for my second week on SB. My husband lost 4.5 lbs, so that really pissed me off. I followed the plan and even pumped up my exercise this past week. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Okay, I guess I should be glad I didn't stay even or gain, but I was sure hoping for a little more. I really wanted out of the 170's for good! Has anyone had to take something for constipation while on SB? I think I am getting there, so I thought I would head it off - nothing fun about that :) Last week I didn't track my food as I was too busy, so I think I better this week to make sure my calories and exercise are in line. I have been so bad about jounaling and recording my food and exercise - time is just not on my side at home. So I decide to take some time out of work and talk to you all.....I have been good about sticking to the SB plan. Overall, I am eating what the book tells me to each for each day during phase 1. I haven't deviated very much at all. I figured if I try to follow "the plan" almost to the T, I should see great results. So far I have and hopefully this week will also prove to be great. I do however feel more bloated this week - no not that time of month - so it worries me that maybe I am gaining weight. I am trying not to step on the scale but once a week. Daily weigh ins just depress me - always have. So a little nervous about my weekend weigh in. I have been exercising each day, Monday through today, at least 45 minutes. So I haven't been slacking there. Need to look hot for my vaca with 4thehalibut! Look out Napa here we come!!

Whew....I made it through the first week and LOVE the results - down 5.3 lbs! I had no problem eating the food, especially since I love veggies, but it was the preparation that is the killer. I spend more time preparing than ever before, especially breakfast. I was a cereal eater, now I have to eat eggs galore with veggies. And all I can say is I am so glad I like V8 juice. A morning without juice is not a morning to me. I am hoping for some good results this coming week. I plan to stay on SB 100% like the past week and keep up my exercising.
