i thought i'd start to weigh myself every day, but i keep forgetting. this is a little lower than last week, which is good. i've been eating better (although still from the pantry and freezer) and i started walking again. i was in a real little funk there for a while.
i'm pretty depressed, so that doesn't help. also i really want to snack after my husband goes to bed and i am reading. i don't know what's up with that. maybe habit?
anyway, tracking rerally helps.

i'm not surprised i gained weight. i haven't been paying attention or tracking. this stops now.
last night my stomach was so distended that i had to keep throwing off my cat because he was hurting me. the cat loves me, so he would not give up. it was very frustrating.
we are in a bizarre money situation. our tenants haven't paid us the full security deposit, or a full month's rent yet, so money is tight. we won't have enough money for grocery shopping until the end of the month. i'm having to cook out of the freezer, and i'm running out of ideas.
my fit bit has been showing me that i barely burn 2000 calories on an average day, so i need to drop my rdi. i think i burn about 2300. and walking doesn't add up that much. i think i will have a hard time on a lower rdi though, so i think i will just start at 1800 and see if i can drop from there. if i don't eat enough, i get a lot of anxiety, so i have to be careful.

i was up 6 pounds in the middle of the week but was afraid to record it. this is much better though still a gain. circumstances prevented me from walking a few days. i am walking about 2 miles a day, at a slow pace. still, it's something. and i've been pretty proud of myself for keeping it up.
as for food, i've been having a hard time. my mother got me on this bagel kick and i've really been enjoying them for breakfast. the cream cheese doesn't have much protein though. my raisin bran has more. and the raisin bran has more than the soy milk i've been having with it, which surprised me. i'm preferring the bagel to the raisin bran right now. i know i have to be more careful about the food and my macros. and tracking. i've been falling down with that too. my app stopped working and now i have to remember to go to the site.
i am so happy that with the walking now, my back feels good. my feet ache and my podiatrist says to get new shoes. he says that almost every time i see him. i've barely worn the shoes from the last time he said to get new ones. i wear birkenstocks and it's uncomfortable to wear other shoes. too squishy.

i hope this lower weight sticks. i have been doing good staying within my rdi and walking. some days it has been too hot, or rainy. i'm worried about what i'm going to do when it's winter. i put my gym membership on hold until november. i found i preferred to walk than to do water aerobics. i guess i will go back to the pool when it's cold out.
i've not been that hungry, but i am still having cravings. last night it was for chocolate cake. i didn't eat anything but my meals because nothing could satisfy a cake craving besides cake. and i really wasn't hungry, i just wanted cake. so i resisted.
yesterday i took my walk and i really wasn't feeling it. i was going to stop half way, but i convinced myself to go on so i could reach starbucks. several times i had to tell myself that i was going to reward myself with starbucks. i don't get those sugary drinks, just coffee. i got to starbucks and they were closed because their water had been shut off. i was really disappointed then.

i knew that last weigh in was too little. but at least i only gained a pound back. i stopped walking for a while because it was way too hot, but i'm back on track. i also have been having a really hard time with temptation. i haven't been able to resist. almost anything. i've also been having trouble remembering to keep my food journal, but i think i am back on track now. i have been having fruit with breakfast and lunch, and i am trying to have a salad with dinner.
so my goals are to keep logging my food, keep walking at least 2 miles/day and try a salad with dinner. plus, don't fall back..
