Laziness is no excuse for making bad choices.
I had a donut this morning (It was a yummy cider donut) because I was lazy and the idea of making oatmeal was too overwhelming. It was too hard to make a packet of instant oatmeal, using the fast boil electric kettle on my counter already full of water.
Beat myself up all day, skipped lunch.
I know what I should eat, I just need to do it. There are no good excuses.

One of the bad habits I picked up when I was a stay at home mom to 2 little boys was inhaling my food. If I didn't I wasn't eating. I figured it would just stop when the boys got older and more settled. It didn't, my babies are 23 and 21 and I still do it.
I've been making an effort to slow down, chew more and take my time. Tonight it took me wayyy longer than my fiance to eat, almost 10 minutes. Looks like thinking about it is paying off.

It is what it is. It may be a scale difference, same office, different room but I cannot own a scale. I would become obsessive about it and thats just not mentally healthy.
Managed to avoid the Halloween candy trap but still had a binge today, it was cider instead. I'm miserable, my back hurts (but it IS better than it was), saw Doc today and the ear infection that I knew I had is so bad he looked at me sympathetically as he asked if I wanted him to write something for the pain. I still went to PT today and did everything I needed to there. I still went to the dermatologist, because rescheduling would have been a nightmare. I had chicken and peas for dinner and skipped the mac & cheese everyone else had.

My food intake today was terrible but I am going to focus on what was good about the day. Survived PT with minimal pain, did 15 minutes on the recumbent stepper. Did NOT look at the step count because I was so happy that I wasn't in a ton of pain I wasn't about to jinx my good mood by seeing a low step count. Due to a scheduling snafu my morning got all messed up timewise so I had to leave over an hour earlier than I planned to and didn't have enough warning to eat lunch before I left. My food options locally are a pizza place (with really bad salads) a deli and McDonalds. Once I realized I was starving I popped into the deli and got macaroni salad because.....well I have no reason other than I didn't want to pay $8 for a sandwich that I was only gonna eat about 1/4 of. Upside, If I can get more mobile I can eat the stupid mac salad and just walk more and today I was more mobile.

Got sleep for the second night in a row, PT and meds seem to be helping the back, so I woke up feeling kind of normal. Looked outside and it appears the weather is not cooperative so a walk is out.
Going to see if I can run through ALL of my PT exercises today, back and knee, without killing my back. It may not be ideal but at this point, if I can get up and moving, I am going to get up and moving. My mental health can't take much more of this nonsense.
