over the weekend I ate to much sodium... we had KFC so I was retaining water and was up in my weight from 232 to 235 .. but yesterday I did two things.. I drank a lot of water to flush out the sodium I'm not talking 64 oz but 2 x that at least.. what I hate about drinking all that water at my age is I was up half the night going pee.. but I was down 2 lbs in the morning... I also did a spoonful of Metamucil in the morning and one in the evening before I ate, which also helped me eliminate a bit more. So now I hope to be back on course.
Some of you might wonder how I walk so much when I work here is how. I worked today, I work in a nursing home transporting residents back and forth to activities. As an activities aide I transport a half hour before each of my activities and then 15 minutes to take them back after the activities. during the activities i either sit or Im standing for at least a half hour each time. when I am not doing activities Im walking around talking with residents and delivering mail or helping resident. today was a beautiful day so I took several of our residents for walks each one for at least 15 a piece so if your wondering how I can walk for 4 hours that is how.. This is why I usually have a problem walking after work with my arthritis. right now my feet and knees are screaming in pain. This is also the number one reason I have to loose the weight if I want to continue to stay on my feet and nut end up in one of those wheelchairs myself.
