On Keto are u allowed Sugar Free Jello?

Sugar free jello is allowed, but sugar free puddings are higher in carbs than you think. Just FYI cause I looked at the pudding and about died then looked at regular pudding and was like holy heck. I haven't been working keto and I find a lot of things too sweet for me. I mean even before that was the case but now it's sickly sweet . Like premade packet oatmeal 🤢 .. I much prefer my "protein oats" which is old fashioned oats with egg, bacon, and cheese (sometimes baby bell pepper jack or motery jack with jalapenos) and have been having a zero calorie watermelon rockstar every morning. And another thing I am having a problem with spaghetti sauce... Why the flip are they adding sugar to that why... Bleck so sweet. Breath Michelle breath... I don't understand the sugar in everything

ok, geeky cooker time ..... the sugar in spaghetti sauce cuts the acidity of the tomatoes but I agree ..... 13 grams per 1/2 cup serving??? That's like slicing a tomato into a cup of sugar and calling it sauce!!

There are other ways the acidity can be cut. LOL 😆 It’t just one more trap. I actually like cooking carrots or sweet potatoes (skin on!) and purée them when cold. Use the results in small amounts to thicken and sweeten sauces like tomato sauce that is acidic. 🤷🏻♀️

Great truck smp.... I'll have to try that.

I just keep small portions in ziplock sandwich bags in the freezer that I’ve made up when I’m feeling particularly industrious! LOL normally about 1/4 sweet potato or yam or about 1/2 or 1 carrot’s worth. They are good for sweetening smoothies as well because they also add the thickness and mouth appeal to the taste. 🤷🏻♀️

Are we allowed watermellon on keto diet? Kroger has them for $1.99 for a big one!😜

Happy snappy- small amount of baking soda also reduces the acidity.. So if you ever have super acidic or cheap tomatoe sauce, crush, puree to make sauce from you can use a bit of baking soda at a time and stir it in good.. If you put to much in it will taste like baking soda though... And be warned the reaction of base and acid creates salt, so careful adding more salt

Kaylee all foods are Allowed on the keto diet unless you cut them out the only requirement is the low carb ratio to the fat and protein... And even that could be questioned because one person could eat more carbs and stay in ketosis, but if your following 20 gram a day .. Watermelon has 6g per half cup... So you would be down to 14 g for the rest of the day

Right, the yam, sweet potatoes and carrots all add carbs that you have to count. I use this solution at this point because I am transitioning to a lifestyle modification diet and trying to find ways of cooking that will satisfy me and a family for the rest of my life. 🤷🏻♀️I don’t want to fall back in the trap of buying prepared crap to eat. 🙋🏻
