teetering this week between 144.6-147.2. Every day when I step on the scale, it's a new number. Up and down. I have seen as much as a 2.5 # span in the course of one day. What is it? (Have not had any deviation from my WOE this week) Oh, I know. It's water, it's water retention after a work out, it's muscle, it's irregular bowels, it's all sorts of things. But it makes me crazy. I know to look at the greater sweep of things- the course of averages and the overall trajectory. I know that.
It's still hard.
So just stay away from the scale, right? Limit it to once per week or month...
Anyone out there do that?

I check daily the same time the same way and don't worry about the rest. and yes the water retention can drive you crazy if you let it. but it is a tool, sometimes to let you know you are not drinking enough water.

You can take the average. Like baskington said same time the same way everyday then take the average of the week. You should see a decrease on average lbs,kg, or st. If you don’t, reassess. If you do, don’t sweat it.

Yeah I limit the scale to maybe once a month because the power it has over me. Maybe that is not for everyone but that is just what I have to do. I am trying to focus on how my body feels. I also have some clothes that I measure with
