I'm following the Eat to Live principles as far as getting enough fruits and vegetables in, but I'm also eating lean animal protein, like a small daily serving for the sake of protein. To keep the calories down, I've almost eliminated starchy carbs out completely. I don't eat breads or pasta, just a half cup of starchy vegetables or brown rice daily or less.

seems similar to Atkins....mostly veggies and low carbs. I truly think eliminating the carbs is a smart way to go but its hard especially when it comes to certain fruits and vegetables....squash, mangos etc. I've heard of "Eat to Live" but don't know much about it.
