I remember being in my 20s and dieting. I'd fret and stew because I needed to lose 10 pounds and thought I was SO fat. Looking back, I wish I looked like that now. But, I guess, life happens and my body has been punished for it.
I sure couldn't have weighed much more than 145# from looking at the pictures. Interesting how our perspectives change as we grow older. (Hopefully, older and wiser.)
The pounds don't come off as quickly and it seems that exercise is more painful. I am not as limber and flexible. I look back on what I could do, and realise I didn't even know then what I had. I understand now that phrase "Youth is wasted on the young."
All of this to say, I am going to appreciate my body more. I will treat it with more respect. I will make it my goal to become more fit and health conscious. There's no way to recover the past, but I can change and make my future brighter.
Thank God for second chances.

No looking back...what is done is done. But we can change the future one meal at a time. And one day at a time. We will all encounter bumps and even hills during our journey - if we should fall along the way just dust it off and get right back on plan the next meal. It has took me 50 years to realize this...yes a little slow on my learning curve. But this is my year - slow & steady will win the race. Good luck on your journey.
