When motivation grabs you by the butt, you gotta go with it. Last night, I was bemoaning the fact that I hadn't been able to get to the fitness center and walk. I threw myself into high gear and began walking around the house, jogging in place and doing the stairs. I got 32 flights of stairs in before the night was over. I didn't get to 10K on the steps- only hit about 8K but considering I was at 3K for the evening when I started, I'll count it as a success. I have been slacking the past few days with having company but I am back in gear. My knee is still aching but feels much better and I don't think it will give out on me The stability factor is much improved. The weather here is getting nicer. Spring is just around the corner. I can't wait for the day when I can start doing my mileage walking my dogs instead of on a track indoors. My mind feels so much clearer when I am outside. Not sure if it does much for my middle aged memory, but it certainly has a calming effect.
Today I am thankful for my Fitbit, for my back that is no longer aching, for my husband who always makes me laugh.
Life is good.
