Had a very nice weekend with my family. Dinner out Friday night with friends was great, lots of laughs. Then a busy day at the farm with my parents. Moved some hay, did some chores, then came home and baked a cake for the next day. Sunday was busy but relaxing. Had dinner over at the inlaws. I made a 2 layer chocolate cake. The icing was made with whipping cream and dark chocolate which ended up being bitter. The cake was edible with ice cream! If I made that recipe again I think I would try it with regular milk chocolate. So, as you can tell my weekend was alot of eating. And it showed on the scale this morning when I hopped on for a peek. Right now I feel like I'm at a stand still with the weight loss. I'm not eating out of control like I use too and I move a lot more then a year ago. I mentioned something to my coworker today about it. That I'm at a plateau and will probably stay here for awhile. And there is no sense in getting mad about it. I'm pretty proud of myself. I've lost over 25 lbs within the last year and now wear a size 10/12 comfortably. When I walk by a mirror, I'm still amazed that in the reflection is me. So, so what if I weigh around 178 for awhile. If I keep doing what I'm doing, eventually I will lose a few more lbs. I want to enjoy life too and not obsess about every calorie. Well, that's my rant for the day!

I think that is a wonderful rant! A lot of days I feel this way, I am ok if I don't lose a lot more pounds and just continue to exercise and eat better, if it is meant to come off it will. I want to enjoy life and not obsess, then I have days like today that I beat myself up for everything I eat. Need to balance that out better!

I agree. Good for you for having a good realistic outlook. I'm about 8 lbs from my goal weight and I feel like this last 8 will be the hardest yet. I have to learn how to be around all the baked goodies and not go overboard!! Still my biggest weakness. Good for you for your lifestyle changes over the last year- be proud!

I agree skirch. I want to lose the last few pounds but sometimes I think is it really worth me stressing over? So occasionally I just eat a couple not so healthy things and I feel renewed to go again. Being a foodie is sooo hard!
