I went for a gait analysis yesterday and found out that I walk with a slight knee knocked gait?? Instead of being bow legged, my knees are turned in. So, they recommended shoes that provide stability. Most shoes on the market are neutral. I ended up buying a pair of Asics Dynamic Duomax GT-2000. Hopefully it will help with lower back pain and hip pain I've been having lately. My other pair of shoes that I was wearing for running were showing lots of sign of wear even though I only had them for 5 months. Maybe these will last longer.

Well, here it's May 1st!! Today, my hubby is going to cut our lawn of the 1st time this year. I asked him not to cut it too low...he has a habit of doing that and then there are lots of clippings that have to be raked up and the lawn looks white in some spots. But I made the mistake of saying something 'cause then I get the how should I do it from him. Why are men like that??!!

Interesting, I've never heard of a gait analysis. As a runner that is probably a great thing for you to have done. Hope the shoes work out really well. Men!!! Our yard needed cut a couple weeks ago and hubby had sprained his ankle and couldn't do it, I offered, but he said I just don't do it right, so when he was able he had to cut it twice so there were no clippings to rake. How could I not cut it right, you ride around in a square/circle and the mower does the rest!!!

I've never heard of gait analysis either. I hope that your shoes work for you! I've just learned to let the hubby do the lawn and not say anything. I'll let him get upset if he cuts it too short. He's obsessed with the lawn, so I just let him be. He mowed the other day, but today it's raining and sleeting, so no yard work.

Yes the shoes are working for me...went for a run at lunch and did 2.2 miles in 25 minutes with no problems. Sometimes when you are breaking in shoes you end up getting blisters but no problems here. I did 2 sets of lunges and squats again today in hopes that the soreness will go away!! Weather is great, nice and summer with a little breeze that was very welcoming when we were coming back on the hot and sweaty side!!! Then we had to cool out quickly, scarf down some lunch and go to meeting. Thank goodness for body sprays!!!
