So all of you on the journey...it is possible. July of 2018 I weighed 278 pounds. I was experiencing some health issues and was tested for cervical cancer. The day the doctor called and said it was all clear I looked into my daughter’s eyes and said mom is going to lose 100 pounds. Mommy needs to be here to take care of you and your sister. By the following July 2019, I had accomplish that goal. I had surpassed that goal. Then once again, life hit me between the eyes. My daughter who had been cancer free for five years had a tumor discovered on her spinal cord in the C2 C3 region. That’s a really bad place to have a tumor. It kind of helped me fall off of the wagon. However, I was always mindful of my original goal. I had gotten down to 161 pounds and then Stress eating kicked in and I was back into the 170s. Never had I Allowed myself to slip past 178 or that hundred pound mark until later this week. It was a stark reality seeing 180 on the scale. It was a reminder that I did not want to go back to being the fat mom. So log food I will do, a walk I will take, and prayers I will continue.
