Last night at work, one of the security guards that I work with came up to me and said-"Did you just lose a bunch of weight? You look great!"
He is the first one that has noticed that I lost 20#. I can't tell you what a great feeling that was. I was so inspired that I went in the closet this morning and took out my size 18 jeans. And guess what??? I got them buttoned and I can walk in them without feeling like my head might pop off.
Goodbye size 20. I will put those in the donation pile. I am not looking back and I am not saving them. If I have "fat pants" to fall back on I just might start slacking. Not gonna even go there.
The dogs and I just got back from our 3 mile walk. It was a bit warmer than I expected. I probably should have left an hour earlier. I enjoyed it but my pups are getting old and I really should have considered the heat a bit more. They did fine but they are exhausted now. I saw some finches on my walk and there are some trees in bloom with tiny white fragrant flowers that had an amazing scent. Not sure what they were but I was surprised they weren't loaded with bees.
As a matter of fact, I hardly saw any pollinators out at all. That is very concerning to me. I have hives less than a mile from where the trail is located and I would think they should have been foraging up a storm on a day like today. The lack of bees is more and more noticeable each spring. I wish the EPA would just get rid of the neonicotinoids. We'd all be a lot better off and so would the bees.
I am doing decently on sticking to the diet. Last night at work, I was really tempted to have some sweets but then I asked myself if I really had 200+ calories left in my calorie stockpile. The answer was no. I got a big glass of ice water to fill me up and got the hell away from the goodies. Thankfully, it got busy at that time so I had no time to worry about it. Saying no and moving on is a little victory each time I do it.
Tomorrow starts a 10 day stretch off from work. I'll be heading to Michigan on Saturday and working on my house there. Not thrilled about that but I get to see my 2 grown foster kids and their families so that will be a huge bonus.
I am thankful for the days off, the beautiful weather, and the chance to work outdoors for a bit.

Good for you Sherilynn! We all should walk with our heads high! Thanks! I think many people notice how we're looking, but I find compliments are in short supply! Jealous? Guilt of their own? Not sure. My first compliment came from a MAN at church, not his wife. Interesting!
Keep up the great work!
