So if I thought my first day of weight training was a bust, I shoulda realized the second day was going to mean death.

Here's what silly me did yesterday.

I rode my bike to school (about a ten minute ride). I parked it by my work and walked the 5 minutes to the gym. Once at the gym I did 30 minutes of cardio on my favorite lunge-y machine. Then I did some stretching. Then I did some inner and outer thigh work on the machines. Simple stuff to warm up my muscles before the actual weight lifting class.

Once my coach showed up, he taught us that all of us have the ability to bend down and touch our toes (straight legged) if we do this particular stretch first. Pretty cool. Then he had us do push ups. Ten reallllly long, drawn out push ups. Two sets. I had to take a knee between most of them cuz my wrists were hurting. Then he had us do leg lifts on our back, which sucked because we were on hard floor, so once I remembered to put my hands underneath my back I was fine. Then we did lunges and some back arm exercises. And some lower back exercises. I almost made it though the whole class, but had to stop at the end because for some reason my head was pounding. He says I must not have been breathing, but I think it was just from the constant up-down moves he had us doing.

After class I walked back to work, and then of course rode my bike back home at the end of the day. I was already sore after the class, and was afraid of what this morning would bring, for good reason. Today, I am suuuuper pathetic. I can barely walk (I pretty much hobble around), and it pains me to sit down. I have to have something to hold on to in order to stand up or sit down. It feels like I'm ripped everywhere, which in a sense I guess I am.

This class will surely be a challenge, but I think its one I need.

That is what happened to our Mamma do you remember? I promise once you make it through this initial death pain you will be stronger and your range of motion will get better and it won't happen to that extent again. Love youxoxoxox BREATHE.........:))))))))
