I know it seems pretty insignificant but I didn't binge eat 2 days in a row. I have to take it 1 day at a time, sometimes 1 minute at a time. I have my journal next to me so I can write down any feelings I have when I get the urge to binge eat.
I realized that I use eating as a way to relax so I need to start finding substitutes for that. I'm going to start taking evening showers and reading afterwards. Maybe a nice candle on the table.
I also use eating as a way to avoid thoughts and feelings. I am trying to write those down and use Urge Surfing to recognize them. Just notice the thought without judgement and let it pass through. Don't act on it. Usually I get a thought and immediately panic and want to squish it.

Good job! Sounds like you're using some mindfulness also. Those are great steps. Don't give up on yourself even if you continue to struggle with the binge eating sometimes. Hugs

that's great! a journal is a great way to get things out! I don't know if you pray, but praying helps me with those panicky thoughts 🙏

WOW, sounds like me! I can totally relate. I have gone 1 day so far and actually 3 days not drinking alcohol which triggers binge eating with me also.
