Hi buddies!
Just a short journal to share a positive event.
So, I went to the clmbing gym today with a bunch of friends. At the beginning it felt like a not so good day for cimbing. Then I relaxed a lot, we had cake, we were joking, a really nice group of people. Well, I got into a very good mood and tried some routes a little more hard than what I usually climb. Well, it was impressive what I achieved! I have been able to climb an overhanging route! You know, I tried that after a few months climbing and no way I could do that. And today I realized how stronger I have become! It has been amazing!! I have been able to lift my weight mainly on my arms, meaning I have been developing more muscles also on my back and abs. I haven't completed that route, had to give up at 5 holds from the top, but to me, having been able to climb an overhanging route tiil 13 meters (out of 15) is fantastic. Such a positive feeling of achievement. And thefunny thing is, at the moment I weight about 7/9kg more than when I started climbing; so, in principle, it was easier back then than now! Tomorrow I will go swimming or climbing again.
It's all about becoming stronger, and looking at our bodies as instruments to achieve sport/fitness goals, rather then seeing our bodies as uncomfortable ones we have to carry around without liking them. That's a huge change in perspective that's happening to me lately. I start to appreciate what my body can do, rather than complaining about it not looking "perfect".
