Had fun at the Christmas party last night. I was making mental notes of what I was eating, even stayed away from some things that I would have had no idea how to count calories for. All in all, didn't do too badly. Only stayed about 3 hours then had to get out of there- afraid I would just keep eating the night away. Recorded all the food as soon as I got home.
Today was a busy day, mulled thru piles of junk mail-good thing, found a couple of bills stuck in amongst all "Please buy me" catalogues.
Headed out to store, carwash, picked up an apple pie at a little bakery which I took home and froze, will bake it off at moms on x-mas eve. ...Oh yeah, mom informed me I was on point for desserts for x-mas eve. Great....guess that means no birthday cake for me this year! I would usually make a pie but I had tried to swear off baking this year. The only dessert I am going to make is this special ginger cookie that is my dad's favorite. I am making seafood chowder, calamari salad and roasted vegetables which will all go nicely on the massive buffet table.

Just a few more days to go, we can do it!
