When you get time to clean house, pour a big cup of coffee and crank the tunes and try to do it aerobically! I know cleaning is no fun... my sympathies.

First, you are amazing. Look what you do for everyone else! second, your health is a priority. A very serious priority. Your stepdaughter should help. If she is old enough to have a boyfriend then she can help you. Finally, don't stress about the mess. Whatever. You come first. Don't stress. Let everyone else stress. Just breathe and enjoy your company. And keep to the diet!!!!

Food wont clean your house or help your grandma, remember that. Deal with one stressor at a time, you will survive this I promise! Deep breaths

Your poor grandma. So unfair. You'll both get through this. Also. We mean aren't sloppy. We're misunderstood. *evades searching eyes*

Your Grandma was not born yesterday, as she is very heart broken I am sure with you being there she will be just fine. You raised your daughter I am sure she will understand if the house is not perfect. Do not allow the food demons to take your body over again.

Let go of the anxiety about the house. It's not worth it. Ask the kids at home to help and leave it to them to rise to the occasion. Your important first priority is looking after yourself, and being there for your Grandma. Praying God will give you peace and help you stay true to your goals for good health.

Take a deep breath, I feel like your daughter should know that you are busy and it is a great thing that your grandmother has your support. Take it easy it will all be ok.

Try to relax and take one day at a time. That's nice you will be there to support your grandmother. Good luck!

Get through court and remember that every choice you make right now is doubly important because every time you resist the urge to blow it, YOU WIN. Love Cary's advice about cleaning to loud music. Rock on!

Sorry you are having such a hard time right know, this too shall pass and there will be better times later on. Just take care of yourself and don't worry too much about the chores in the house...the house is still going to be there when this storm passes and you will eventually get to it. Best of luck in court, I hope things go well for you and your grandma. Hugs!

It's tough to bear everyone's burdens but leave room for self. I agree with some other posters. After court, lunch and nurture grandma. As for the house, semi-clear the space for stepdaughter (while dancing to iPod) and let HER take the reins (boyfriend means older, wiser and can fend for herself -- semi clear means have anyone with stuff in the room move their own things). Then...go get a manicure and decompress before Spring Break! (You need a timeout). Take stepdaughter or just go alone. Allow yourself one treat if it'll help you hold your sanity (a couple of dk choc Doves or 5 Hershey Kisses...whatever it takes). ALL things -- good deeds, devilish food, timeouts, etc -- in moderation.
