A bit of an update. If you want the condensed version, scroll down to the bottom.
I know this is a great community, that's why I've been on here for so long with my weight loss journey. What I didn't realize, though, was how much attention is paid to my comments and postings here. I've been a bit quiet as of late, and was touched to get a message from one of my buddies checking on me :) That's probably a sign I should update.
I've got a lot going on currently and running into the next few months. A position has opened at work that I've applied to, and am working on trying to land an interview for.
We are trying to move out of our tiny apartment into a full rental home, so lots of my previously free time is currently taken up by looking at listings online, sending out requests for a showing, and then going on said showings. If that is exhausted for the moment, the free time is then taken up by packing up things I won't need immediate access to in the next month or so. Our lease is up July 1st, so we're hoping to find a place by late May/early June.
In May I have the first 5k of the year (the Color Run), along with a visit back home for mom's birthday. June brings the second 5k (the Electric Run), and another trip back home for my kid brother's high school graduation (sidenote: I find it terribly sad and troubling that I'm ecstatic for his graduation not because he didn't fail out, but because he survived school without getting killed or maimed by another student....and its thoughts like this that currently have me never desiring to have a child. The only way I'd be comfortable with it would be to homeschool, and if I don't have time for that its not fair to the kid).
So basically, if all goes according to plan, I won't be slowing down until July, and that's only if nothing else pops into my schedule.
Just wanted to update you all, let you know that while I've been quiet, it doesn't mean I haven't been keeping up with your posts and progress. When I get busy in the real world, I tend to turn into a lurker online.
