So after 1 week of following my plan I felt really good. My clothes felt extremely loser than ever. I was able to stay productive and I honestly felt a sense of "happy" during my entire day. I had no cravings or "needs" to use food for anything else but fuel my body. And I lost 7.5 pounds which is amazing. Then the 2nd week, I let some BS drama get the better side of me. It was an opportunity to understand another level of my healing, but it was also evident that it is easier to really quit on myself when my emotions get messy- especially when it comes to my relationship with my husband. Anyways gradually I began adding the animal proteins back on my plate, the fast foods, the overeating (portion control left) and what happened...my body started feeling bad again. I felt bloated, moody, emotional, tired, sluggish, disconnected from my passions, and very disappointed with myself. I have learned this time around that I no longer believe the hype of dieting rules set by the industry. I know better because I have tested them, and I realize that it is my body and I know when I feed it less crap- it works and feels better for me. I am grateful for finally accepting this truth. Now I just want to feed my body what I know will help it run better. So I am not going to stress about the number on the scale. Instead I will focus on how I feel. I already know that eating more fiber will help release the excess weight I carry. I can trust this, I have proven it to myself. I already know that I am capable of letting go and letting God take over as long as I show up for myself. Because with God I can do anything. Amen.
So I will journal here and I will use the tracker, only because it helps keep me in a positive range. But I will only weigh in once in a while. Maybe 1-2 per month. I do want to get a tape to record my measurement's.
