To start off, I did really well staying low carb from Friday....well visiting my family for father's day is tough. My parents have gotten better with not having so much sweets laying around the house like there was when I grew up. Part of that was me..
My dad still has his sweet tooth, and must make his pasta salad.

Last Night I did well for dinner, I avoided dessert, and ate clams and ribs. I only had about 1/4 cup of his pasta salad since he insisted. I was about 60g of carbs yesterday, not so bad.

Today the chocolate cake and brownies sitting on the table overwhelmed me, I had 2 tiny brownies and a sliver of the cake. Surprisingly this satisfied my sweet tooth for the day...back before I was paleo I would of eating a HUGE slice of the cake and 6 brownies!!!!!
I think today I will be at about 100g carbs, since I expect to only eat some chicken tonight. I also did some walking and weights today.

My biggest challenge for my dieting is to learn not to beat myself over a small cheat on weekends. Normally week days i do not crave sweets, wine or chocolate because I am so busy. I even work out more on weekdays. Weekends I want my wine, and a piece of chocolate.. On holidays I hate feeling left out and just craving the things I cannot have. I have to learn to eat healthy 95% of the time and the other 5% rare occasions to enjoy myself and life and stop feeling so damn guilty after eating a sliver of cake. For today? I am fighting the regret of the cake because I am congratulating myself for not eating the WHOLE cake. Baby steps right? Tomorrow is a new day to get back strict from the fathers day weekend and no more than 50 net carbs! So much venting..! :P

isn't it funny how people force food onto us? good job just eating a little bit of brownies and cake.

Thanks! I agree, don't like the pressure. Sometimes I feel people force bad foods on you because they want to bring you down with them..sort of like misery loves company
