I know I'm not eating enough, my diet calendar says so. But honestly, I feel like it's enough. I'm not hungry and I feel good. I'm sure this weekend I will go through the same yo-yo cycle of overeating, gaining back some weight, and then start the cycle again on Monday. But hey, today I'm losing weight and I'm happy!

Hi, I looked at your food diary. You're eating plenty for the three square meals. But you can afford (kcal-wise) to add a AM and PM snack, or just a larger PM snack in between meals. What type of snacks do south beach allow?

Protein, like cheese or meat or natural peanut butter. I brought a Laughing Cow Light cheese triangle for between meals today, and would have brought some natural peanut butter & celery (YUM!) but I' out of celery. Going to the store tomorrow. My RDI calculation originally came up 1,800 cals a day. Girl, I would be a fat hog if I tried to eat that much. I would have to be eating all the wrong stuff (or drinking wine) to get that many in a day. I recalculated it later and it's at 1,500 a day now, but I still think that's a bit much. I feel better and continue to lose when I'm around 1,200.
