2 Big 2 Fail's Notizen, 01 Jul 14

Gym tonight...was walking the dogs last night and tripped on a municipal water shut-off cap in the grass and landed on the sidewalk but ended up strangely OK. Hit knees, elbows and hands but only some bruising on elbow. Shoulder a little tender but I'm lifting weights tonight anyways.

I'll call it physical therapy and take off 10 lbs off my normal lifting. I've worked back to where I was before my episode of diverticulitis and the workouts seem to help with it. A fall isn't going to spoil my run.

My last big fall was a few years back when I stepped onto a stack of hay bales at the end of a soap box derby track and caught my foot in the netting. I fell 3-1/2 feet head first into the pavement but didn't get hurt. I was carrying two rolled up chairs and I put them in front of me as I fell and they took the hit. It's amazing how fast you can react to protect yourself
