This morning I did:
Caroline Girvan - DAY 7 of EPIC | Dumbbell Lower Body Workout - 40 Min Leg Day

Had to give this one a thumbs down unfortunately - I really appreciate all Caroline's videos and the work she does, but it's the only way I can see on YouTube that I didn't like it and wouldn't want to do it again (even though I very rarely repeat the same workout). There were just too many lunge moves for my liking. I ended up substituting straight leg deadlifts with some overhead presses thrown in instead and then also the staggered deadlift she did almost half way through, which was great!

The 4kg weights feel a bit light for lower body work, but I'll give it a week or so before I increase - have to see how sore I am tomorrow and kinda looking forward to some doms! If I don't feel it I can definitely increase - maybe to 6.5kg, but will see how it goes.

Thanks for the suggestions adamevegod1 - I've tried them before and I'm just not a fan, but thank you! Something about the stark white background and no music seems a bit too much like work to me.

I never liked lunges. Too much load through the knees for my liking and pressure on the toe joint. As an old gym rat, I have earned the right not to do them at all anymore!!

I usually don't mind a few of them, Anne, but this was excessive. I'd rather do squats or deadlifts anyday - and side lunges have their use too. I think I just picked a bad workout - but I don't preview all of them so it's bound to happen sometimes. Hope you're having a good week! 🌻💕
