I am making some nice slow steady progress this week in OWL. I've also increased the level of intensity on my walks and incorporated a little bit of jogging in there to bring up my heart rate. I don't have any illusions about the fact that I will NEVER be a runner but my goal is to be healthier in my body and more comfortable with my size. If I build up a bit of stamina as a result, that will just be an added bonus.
I got my free Atkins weight loss kit in the mail yesterday. I sure do like the little pocket sized carb count book they sent me.
This morning as I was sitting here at the kitchen table with a parrot on my shoulder, having a nice cup of coffee, the darn little bugger decided that she would dip her beak in and have a taste. To my surprise, she must've liked it because she went back for several more slugs of it. I got a new cup for myself and she continued to sip on the old one. What a goofball. She (Hope) is now back upstairs in her room singing at the top of her lungs. I think this may be a caffeine induced recital though, because she never usualy sings until around 11am. (Its 8:30am right now.)
