I’m in denial about the 1/2 stone I’ve recently gained. I get on the scales every day hoping it’s just water weight but it doesn’t disappear. I can feel it in my clothes but my mind doesn’t want to accept it as it seems like a lot of weight to gain in just a few short weeks. However, I guess this is what happens when you look after everyone else and not yourself. This week I made a promise to myself to get outside more, drink less sugary brews and ditch the wine.

Drink flavoured Green Tea instead? Green has shown to help people lose weight but also, there's no milk and sugar so virtually zero calories. I don't even count it in my calorie count so daily counting becomes much easier too.

Wish there was a edit function on comments, like Facebook. I meant Green Tea obviously not 'Green' lol.

Thanks Gary, I’m afraid green tea doesn’t hug you the way a coffee with milk and sugar does 😜 Is the flavoured one nicer than the normal one?

It hugs you all right weighing in at 140 calories a throw. Weaning yourself off sugary drinks for me was a cornerstone - I drink only black tea now AKA hot water that has been briefly shown a tea bag. About ten cups a day.

Yeah, there's loads of different versions now actually green tea with mint, lemon, jasmine, all sorts. They are much cheaper now too. Aldi do them for 55p a box of 40!
