Day 55 and finally a chunk of weight has dropped off after five days of concerted effort. Yeah.
I have just finished week 1 of 16 of my marathon distance plan 52km total distance covered and I know losing that last 1.7kg, which is all have left to lose, will give me a BMI of 23. That's properly in the green band and very good for running - They say that each 1 lb loss is worth up to two seconds per mile.
I now have two main targets in mind - 1/ a sub 25 minute 5K and 2/ run a marathon distance in under 4-1/2 hours Yesterday was lovely and warm it was a Gin and Tonic on the patio weather for the first time this year.
Last Saturday I completed a 5K Parkrun at Tamar lakes my first since October last year I started off a little too fast but still managed an all time personal best by one second (27:06) It's wasn't a big surprise that having a 1000 calorie deficit the day before the run really affected my pace over the last two miles. Next Saturday I hope to try again without the calorie deficit and take a bigger slice off my PB
We have been busy in the garden have disposed of two massive piles of hedge trimmings that were an eyesore by way of a large combustable event and I have fully cut the grass all round I now have a large mound of compost to sort sp I can prepare all the vegetable plots.
