Trying to get more fiber through natural foods while not increasing sugar. Would be interested in hearing about any natural food sources of fiber that others are including in their healthy eating. I'm trying to stay away from foods that are high on the glycemic index yet trying to keep my eating varied and interesting. Not very easy!

Thanks so much SMK2016 I always think of avocados as a good fat. Nice to know they are high in fiber as well as raspberries! :)

All berries and beans! I eat a lot of beans. Also, pasta once cooked and cooled completely becomes what’s called a resistant starch. Low glycemic, filling, and full of fiber if you use whole wheat pasta.

I'd also consider the low carb tortillas that are either 50 or 70 calories. they have 8 and 11 grams of fiber respectively and they taste pretty good as well as being satiating if you eat them with a meal

Whipped cottage cheese (low fat) 80 calories has very good protein then have a side salad with Bolthouse yogurt ranch dressing. Low sugar. Also Lily's baking chips are low sugar and gives you the chocolate fix!

I would just add Chia seeds to this list. They have a lot of fiber and can be added to many things adding a nice crunch with a very mild flavor. I put them in smoothies, in yogurt, or even oatmeal.

Blackberries and raspberries have incredible amounts of fiber. Chia seeds, beans, avocado, broccoli and other non starchy veggies are all good sources. Whole, unprocessed grains are a great source, although I'm not familiar enough with the glycemic index to know if those would meet your requirements. I don't find it hard at all getting 40 grams or more of fiber a day by relying on whole, plant-based foods

Chia seed pudding w coconut milk, unsweetened cocoa powder, sugar free maple syrup is WAY more delicious and decadent but it’s also way more fat. But it’s healthy fat. Higher in calories than my yogurt recipe but tastes better to me.

Quinoa is the number one for me! Not all fiber is equal. Processed wraps and bars with high fiber content seem to be digested very differnetly... at least for me.

Truly, GOOGLE is your friend— lots of wonderful suggestions for high fiber foods. Go through the lists and pick those that sound like they might work for you.
