I've found that one of the best times to go out for a walk is early morning. For one thing, it's often cooler, the air definitely smells fresher and it's quieter. There's less people and traffic. I never know what I might hear or see. Maybe an animal, bird or budding flower I might miss on a walk at a busier time of day. This morning, I saw a bald eagle soaring overhead and discovered this little guy peeking at me from a nearby pine branch. He was even kind enough to pose for a picture. I've now learned there are two types of white squirrels - albino squirrels and morphed squirrels No, he didn't over share about himself at our first meeting! I went home and googled him, silly! Oh, like you've never googled anyone! ;) This squirrel is an albino because of it's red eyes. The morphed squirrel doesn't have red eyes and can vary in color with some white fur. Aww white squirrels are so cute. I believe most of the white squirrels in my home town are suppose to be an Eastern squirrel with a genetic mutation. They don’t have red eyes so they must be the morphed you speak of.

I see these squirrels daily and for a few years now. I've actually counted as many as four of them together. The site untamedscience has some fun videos about them including towns are known for their white squirrel populations and sightings. These towns even have gift shops (you never know when you might need a gift for a white squirrel enthusiast LOL) as well as other businesses named for white squirrels.
