Sherillynn's Notizen, 29 Mai 11

Has anyone ever died from cravings? I am really over the edge the last few days. So far today I've done well but thie is HIGHLY unusual for me to want any carbs at all, let alone two days in a row.
I was on my way to church this morning and went to check the heifers before getting in the shower. Bad move. We have a stuck calf that's dead and I cannot get a hold of the legs to be able to get it out so here I sit waiting for the vet to get here to do a c-section. In the meantime, its also started to rain so I won't be able to work on my garden. Grrrr.
On the bright side, the garden is ready to go and its supposed to be in the 80s tomorrow so I should have better luck then. This will give me time to catch up on some housework today. As much as I hate housework, I haven't been lucky enough to wake up in the morning to find a fairy snuck in and did it all for me. I keep hoping though.
Today's mission: beat the cravings. I NEED WILLPOWER!

Sherrill - that's the down side to 'overcarbing' by accident two days ago! Tough it out and be strong and the cravings should be gone by tomorrow. Don't forget your water... Hope you have a good weekend!

Sherill, I have never heard of anyone actually dying of cravings. I have heard of people who have died because they continuously continued to give in to their unhealthy cravings! You are a strong lady and you will outlive this craving. I am so sorry about the poor calf.

You know, I bet you are right. I bet it was the overcarbing that set me off and also TOMs imminent arrival. I haven't been like this since the first two weeks I started Atkins. I am like a maniac here!

You will get back to no cravings. Those carbs act a bit like drugs. Give the body a dose and it just wants more to feed its habit. I felt it the Monday after I returned from my last trip. Keep the faith. I know you can do it!

Overcarbing will set off cravings like crazy. That is why it is so hard to restart when we "take a break" from eating low carb. Add in those carbs that we have been avoiding and we have to detox again. Stinks, but you can do it. That is why I will never, ever eat pasta, white bread, white potatoes, or sugar again. Simply cannot control the cravings it sets off. Hope you got the poor little calf taken care of and that mama is okay. Have a great day! HUGS!

Hang tight sweetie! You can do it! Treat yourself to some of you favorite low-carb food options so you won't feel like you are missing out. It takes just a bit of time and grit to kick those cravings to the curb. I know you are too strong to give in. I am so sorry about the loss of your livestock - hope the momma is doing okay. Enjoy your clean house! Love ya
