I went to England for a great trip with my British husband. In addition to historic sights in the countryside, we went to great restaurants where the menu clearly listed gluten free and dairy-free items. The grocery store also had so many wonderful treats. Surprisingly, when I returned, I felt like I had no cravings and can limit what I eat. I am sure I gained weight on the trip, but now I am making progress.
