Last night I was sitting in the kitchen playing on my laptop. I had the kitchen door open and the screen door was letting the breeze in. As I was surfing the web, I heard this "snarfling" noise coming from the deck. I figured my dogs had gotten out and were on the front deck eating cat food. As I got up to investigate, I realized it was 2 giant raccoons gorging themselves at the cat bowl with the two cats sitting there watching them. I went out to yell at them and they didn't even move. No broom to shoo them with either. So, I threw a glass of water at them and they ambled away. Apparently a glass of water isn't very scary!
Today I take all 3 of the parrots in to the vets. Time for their summer trims and shots. This means that none of them will speak to me for 3 days now. Its rather funny how parrots hold a grudge. As soon as they seethose travel cages, they know what's up.
My diet is slow this week thanks to TOM. I refuse to do any weight charting until its all over so I am hoping that when I step back on that I haven't gone up 5#. At least that also explains those darn killer cravings last week.
After work yesterday, I got part of the garden put in. I am hoping to get the rest in today before the vet visit. I've never gotten a garden in this late. It'll be like a miracle when its finished. All Jeff is worried about is green beans and hot peppers! I don't have the heart to tell him there will also be about 3 rows of assorted flowers too. I may even move a bee hive in there.
Hay is getting cut today too. Crossing my fingers that the rain holds out until its baled. There sure isn't ever any lack of things to do out here!
