Seems like a long time but I guess it has been relatively fast. Under my original goal weight of 200. It's funny how I thought I would be more elated. I am pleased but I guess with success comes greed. I will set a new goal today of 180 lbs. by December.

I saw a post here the other day that was asking about being able to see the food diary. I track my food on another app that is more Keto centric (don't hate)🙂 I like FS for the people and the info it provides. I know pictures of food is a shareable thing but I find it distracting in the feed sometimes. With so many different ways to eat "right" I see the pictures and in my mind I'm saying well I can't eat that"!

I like the stories of the - I guess the buzz word is "journey", how regular folks in all walks of life struggle with weight and health, and how they are meeting the challenge. I'm more interested in what they did to right the path, which food is a part of but how they attacked the problem with diet and exercise.

I can tell you for me, walking and watching carbs is all there is to it. Calorie deficit, yes, some fasting, yes, but walking 15,000 steps a day, upping my water intake and sleeping more, mixed in with some resistance exercise plus watching carbs like a hawk is really how I lost 62 pounds. I feel better than I have in years, I feel healthy which I absolutely did not feel 6 months ago. At 62 I'm sure some other health challenge will raise its ugly head but I'm not going out without a fight. My food tracking App is Carb Manager if anyone is interested.

Hombre no seas tan duro con los demás, ten en cuenta que algunos les afecta de verdad, que no todo el mundo es un gran cocinero también pero hacen lo mejor que pueden o saben y se esfuerzan. Lo dices de un modo mira como estabas antes y entonces te veías tan seguro recapacita, una disculpa hacia los compañeros-as de FS no estaría de mas-

Interesting how different types of posts affect all the different people on this site. You said you aren’t engaged with photos of meals that people post but love their stories. While I too, love reading about all the different journeys, I really get inspired seeing the meals that people post and all the different approaches there are to reaching a healthy weight. How lucky are we in this country that the “melting pot” allows us so many choices and abundance for nourishment?!

Maybe I should clarify my post when it comes to the sharing of food. I am not against pictures or the sharing of healthy meals and can see the value in both. I have been known to instagram a meal that was gorgeous even though my wife will be shaking her head😏 I am only pointing out that with so many beliefs, plans, ideas or downright fanatics on what is healthy or the “right” way to eat, it’s difficult when inundated with photos of food not on your “list”. I can honestly say that I haven’t seen one picture on FS that didn’t look awesome! As a matter of fact I haven’t seen many pictures of peoples creations that I wouldn’t devour with glee. See that’s how I got to 262 pounds. It’s definitely a test of willpower just to sit down and watch tv with every other ad full of junk I used to and still want to eat. So when I open the feed and see a story of weight loss, health changes, body recomposition, or even walking with a dog and a cup of coffee, it makes me smile. When I see a picture of pasta (which I haven’t had a noodle since February) that’s when it becomes distracting from my goals of keto and low carb. Cuz man do I want some Lasagne. Just sayin

Si por lo que comente otras personas intentan hacerlo bien paro quizás no sepan o van con stres, a mi me gusta cocinar y degustarlo además una buena presentación te sienta mejor lo que degustas, pero no critico al resto, ni a los que se ponen esos retos tan a largo alcance yo prefiero hacerlo por etapas y con tranquilidad pero disfrutando a empezar otra etapa no es una prueba de velocidad mas bien de fondo. venga pues saludos,por cierto escribo desde España.
